Today is the day: the pre-sale starts, the box will be released on December 11th, 2020
Some components are still in production, so these pictures here are still a bit rudimentary, but after half a year of work the box finally becomes reality!

Today I want to share with you our joy about our new project: At the end of the year we will release a hand-numbered box limited to 2,000 pieces worldwide, for which we have produced a lot of great content. Over the next days I will present each piece of this box. By the way, you have already seen a little something without knowing it, but more about that later…

Aber hier kommt nun einmal die erwähnte Kleinigkeit, von der ich geschrieben hatte: Vielleicht habt Ihr während des Streaming Konzertes das Lacrimosa Logo in Chrom auf meiner Gitarre bemerkt?! Dies ist ein Chrom-Aufkleber, der als kleinstes Teil in der Box zu finden sein wird, neben einigem Anderen, von dem ich Euch hier nach und nach schreiben werde.

At our 25th anniversary we played two concerts in Oberhausen and in Dresden that we recorded back then. And what better time could be there, in times without concerts with audiences, than to publish an anniversary concert with an audience for an anniversary?! And I can tell you, while mixing the album, it was so wunderful to hear your applause. Thank you again for that!

This is about a long-cherished heart project: 12 very special artists, including bands like LORD OF THE LOST, LACRIMAS PROFUNDERE, SEMBLANT, MONO INC, GLEIS 8 (feat. Manne Uhlig, Ex-LACRIMOSA and AnNa R., Ex-ROSENSTOLZ), and even JP GENKEL, YENZ LEONHARDT and HENRIK FLYMAN interpret their favorite Lacrimosa tracks in their very own way! A feast for the ears!
With the title “Cover Up” this CD is a real jewel in the anniversary box! By the way, in the next post you will find information on the box’s pre-sale.

On the one hand, I dug deep into my archive for this, because the CD begins with piano recordings from Lacrimosa’s first weeks and months (at that time still on cassette recorder), continues with a rehearsal room and two live recordings from 1993, or an unplugged version of “Alles Lüge” on the occasion of an award ceremony in 1996, and on the other hand there is the piano interpretation of “Einsamkeit” from spring, the piano and string version of “Weil Du Hilfe brauchst” from the streaming concert, as well as a previously unreleased piano interpretation of “Schakal”!
All in all, 72 refreshing Lacrimosa minutes.
By the way, the cover is also a version, it’s a sketch by Stelio Diamantopoulos for the first version of the cover of the album… but you can read that in the booklet.
